Located in walking distance to restaurants, shopping, banking, and entertainment Westwood Village is tucked behind the Rosemont golf course and Fairlawn Bicentennial Park. Many people don’t even know it is there! Local bus service makes a loop between Summit Mall, Montrose shopping, and Crystal Clinic. It connects with Akron RTA, making it possible to get to all bus destinations without a car.
With the feel of a “gated community” Westwood Village is located in the City of Fairlawn with only one road leading in and out of the village. Immediately after passing the Fire Station, the Municipal Building, and the Police Station you are greeted by our welcome sign. Police officers keep a watchful eye on our properties.
Unlike other condo communities, Westwood Village offers two different styles of living and condominium ownership – townhome living and apartment living. Westwood Village is comprised of a Townhouse Association with 50 townhouses and a Manor House Association with 107 manor apartment-style units. The Home Owner Association (HOA) was organized to share and maintain land and properties common to both associations. These are a swimming pool, two tennis courts, ponds, etc. Consequently, Westwood Village is organized and administered by three elected boards of directors.
Westwood Village is self-maintained and employs its own maintenance team -- a manager and two crewmembers. This allows for more effective condominium management at a reasonable cost.
Our maintenance fee is competitive with other area condos. Unlike many other condo associations, in addition to the outside upkeep of buildings, driveways, and grounds, our maintenance fee includes trash collection and a deluxe Time Warner Digital Cable package at a substantially reduced price. In addition, it includes some inside repairs and maintenance. The Manor House Association maintenance fee even includes the cost of gas heating.
With an excellent swimming pool, two tennis courts, nearby golf course, and just few minutes away from biking trail and ski slopes, Westwood Village provides many opportunities for an active life style. All residents may enjoy free water aerobic classes at the pool three times a week in summer. Two large Club House party rooms with a kitchen are available by reservation for private parties.
